(IFC; Washington), the private-sector arm of the World Bank, says it will invest $20 million in chemical intermediates manufacturer Kanoria Chemicals and Industries (KCI; Kolkata, India), to help the company expand chlor-alkali capacity at Renukoot, India. KCI has sales of about $75 million/year, and makes chlorochemicals, alcohols, agchems, water treatment chemicals, and industrial gases.
