Sales were up 38%, to $692.8 million, on higher sales prices in vinyl resins and caustic soda, as well as higher sales volumes in the company’s chlorovinyls and aromatics segments. Operating income was $33.6 million, compared to a loss of $18.6 million in the year-ago quarter, driven by higher ECU values and higher chlorovinyls and aromatics sales volumes, which were partially offset by higher raw materials costs...
