European Producers to Hike S-PVC Prices in July

Ineos ChlorVinyls says it will increase the price of suspension polyvinyl chloride (S-PVC) in Europe by €130/ton on July 1 due to rising raw material costs and weak demand for caustic soda, which is putting pressure on margins in the chlor-alkali chain. “On the back of strengthening crude and naphtha prices, the cost of ethylene has increased significantly through the year with a sustained squeeze on S-PVC margins,” the company says.
