Dow cites the Canadian National (CN) worker strike that began on February 10, which has resulted in delays or curtailment of both rail and related truck shipments in the region (CW, Feb. 14/21, p. 4). The force majeure only affects customers that receive shipments via Dow’s West Coast Distribution Center in Vancouver. This represents about 25% of Dow’s North American caustic market, says Cristi Stiers, Dow marketing... This information is only available to Chemical Week subscribers.
