Dow Caustic Soda Allocation Returns to Pre-Hurricane Levels

Dow Chemical says that shipments of membrane- and diaphragm-grade caustic soda from its Freeport, TX and Plaquemine, LA chlor-alkali plants were restored to pre-hurricane allocation levels of 90% on October 1. Dow declared force majeure on caustic from Freeport last June following an unspecified “critical production issue,” and placed North American and some Latin American customers on approximately 90% allocation.
