Clorox to Modify Chlorine Usage

 Clorox says it will modify its process of producing bleach in the U.S. by transitioning from chlorine to high-strength bleach as a raw material. “This decision was driven by our commitment to strengthen our operations and add another layer of security,” says Don Knauss, chairman and CEO of Clorox. The transition will start at the company’s Fairfield, CA plant and is expected to be complete by May 2010, Clorox says.
