Chlor-Alkali Operating Rates Steady in October

U.S chlor-alkali operating rates were unchanged in October, holding steady at 80%, says the Chlorine Institute (Arlington, VA).  Chlorine production rose about 3.5% in October compared with September. 30,033 tons more chlorine gas and 27,938 tons more liquid chlorine were produced, up about 3.4% and 3.9%, respectively. However, year-on-year chlorine production continues to lag.
