Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Inorganic Chemicals :: Chlor-alkali BCS Inks Alliance with K21:43 PM MDT | July 24, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Basic Chemical Solutions (BCS; Redwood City, CA) says it has signed an agreement with K2 Pure Solutions (Concord, ON) to be the exclusive distributor of sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and related products from K2’s new plant in Los Angeles. The plant is expected to start up in late 2008. It will use inert salt, water, and electricity as ingredients, eliminating the need to transport and store chlorine, BCS says.
