August Chlor-Alkali Production Falls in Europe

European chlorine production in August fell about 7% from July levels, to 768,963 tons, and was about 16% lower compared with August 2008, says European chlor-alkali industry group Euro Chlor. August caustic soda stocks in Europe fell 16.2% from July, to 278,587 tons, about 14% lower than August 2008, Euro Chlor adds.
