(Tokyo) 50-50 joint venture with Daiso Co. (Osaka, Japan). Okayama Chemical, which was established in 1968, produces and sells chlorine, caustic soda and other chlor-alkali products. AKC and Daiso will dissolve the jv effective April 1, 2012, and following the dissolution, Okayama Chemical will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Daiso.
