Aditya Birla to Buy Chloro Chemicals Division of Kanoria for $187 Million

Aditya Birla Chemicals (Rehla, India), part of the Aditya Birla Group (Mumbai) says its board of directors has approved the acquisition of the Chloro Chemicals division of Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (Kolkata, India) for Rs8.3 billion ($187 million). The Chloro Chemicals division includes a manufacturing facility at Renukoot, India that produces chlor-alkali, chlorine derivatives, and water treatment chemicals.
