Harris & Ford enters manufacturing with chlor-alkali plant at Eddyville, IA

HF Chlor-Alkali, a newly formed affiliate of Harris & Ford (Indianapolis), announced on 3 July that it is to build a chlor-alkali plant at Cargill’s Iowa bioprocessing center in Eddyville, IA. It will serve all of Cargill's US plants as well as other customers when it goes on line in early 2015, the company says. "With this project, our company moves beyond distribution into manufacturing," says Tim Harris manager of HF Chlor-Alkali and president of Harris & Ford, a chemical distributor with sales close to $250 million/year...
