Pinto Energy to build GTL facility in Ohio

Pinto Energy (Houston) will build a 2,800-bbl/day gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant at its 80-acre industrial site to the east of Ashtabula, OH, the company has announced. The company develops smaller-scale GTL facilities. The plant will convert abundant low-cost natural gas from the Utica and Marcellus shale regions into high-value specialty products—solvents, lubricants, and waxes—as well as ultraclean transportation fuels, the company says. Mechanical completion of the plant is expected in late 2015, with start-up scheduled for early 2016...
