Sundrop Biomass-to-Gasoline Project Moves Forward

Sundrop Fuels (Louisville, CO)  says it has signed a front-end engineering and licensing agreement with Udhe Corporation of America for a previously announced 50 million gallons/year biobased gasoline facility at Alexandria, LA. The site will use natural gas and forest residues and thinnings to produce gasoline. The process integrates ThyssenKrupp Udhe’s High Temperature Winkler (HTW) gasification technology, as well as methanol synthesis and ExxonMobil’s methanol-to-gasoline (MTG) process technologies.
