Headwaters Links With Energy Producer for Coal-to-Liquids

Headwaters (South Jordan, UT), which provides technology and services to the building material and alternative energy industies, says it has entered into a partnership with Consol Energy (Pittsburgh) to explore plans for building coal-based liquid fuel refineries. The partners will work together to carry out preliminary engineering, environmental, and marketing activities for one or more coal-based facilities to produce ultra-clean liquid transportation fuels including diesel, gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, and jet fuel.
