Sundrop Fuels selects IHI E&C as contractor for biomass-to-gasoline facility

Sundrop Fuels (Louisville, CO) says it has engaged IHI E&C International Corp. (Houston), a subsidiary of IHI Corp. (Tokyo), as contractor of choice for Sundrop's inaugural facility near Alexandria, LA. The combined commercial and demonstration plant will produce about 60 million gallons/year of finished gasoline from natural gas while providing the platform for Sundrop Fuels to prove its proprietary gasification technology for making renewable “green gasoline” from woody biomass, the company says.
