Global Yeast Market to Grow 7.6%/year to $4.7 Billion in 2015

BCC Research (Wellesley; MA), a market research group, predicts the global market for yeast, yeast extract and autolysates will increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for 7.6% to $4.7 billion in 2015, up from $3 billion in 2009.   BCC predicts the fastest growing segment will be bio-ethanol yeast, which is set to grow from $87 million in 2009 to $240 million in 2015.
