Markets :: Alternative Fuels :: Biorefineries Chempolis Forms Biorefinery Joint Venture in China2:28 AM MST | January 24, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Chempolis (Oulu, Finland), a development company focusing on non-wood and non-food process technologies, has signed a frame agreement with Henan Yinge Industrial Investment Co. (Luohe, China) to establish a joint venture at Luohe, Henan Province with a registered capital of €30 million of which Yinge will provide €22.5 million and Chempolis the remainder. The jv will build a biorefinery based on Chempolis's formicofib technology using wheat straw as raw material. It will produce 160,000 m.t./year of non-wood papermaking fibers and biochemicals...
