Butamax Adds Four Butanol Retrofit Projects

Butamax Advanced Biofuels (Wilmington, DE) says four facilities have joined its "early adopters" group of corn ethanol producers considering deploying Butamax's isobutanol retrofit technology. The four facilities—operated by Platinum Ethanol (Arthur, IA), Little Sioux Corn Processors (Marcus, IA), Granite Falls Energy (Granite Falls, MN, and Siouxland Ethanol (Jackson, NE)—represent a total ethanol production capacity of half a billion gallons annually.
