Both Sides Claim Victory in Isobutanol Patent Fray

Butamax Advanced Biofuels (Wilmington, DE) and Gevo (Englewood, CA) are both claiming a victory in their ongoing patent dispute after the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) responded to an earlier Gevo request that two Butamax patents covering isobutanol production methods be reexamined and found invalid.
