Arkema and Elevance Partner to Develop Biopolymers

 Arkema says it has entered into a global partnership for the development and production of renewable specialty polymers with Elevance Renewable Sciences (Bolingbrook, IL),  a maker of renewable chemicals based on metathesis technology. Under the terms of the deal, Elevance will provide functionalized renewable starting materials, including the company’s 9-decenoic methyl ester, from is biorefineries.  Spun out of Cargill in 2007, Elevance’s technology platform produces biobased olefins, including alpha and internal olefins...
