Butamax begins first isobutanol retrofit

Butamax Advanced Biofuels (Wilmington, DE), a biobased isobutanol joint venture equally owned by DuPont and BP, and Highwater Ethanol (Lamberton, MC) announced today that they have begun a retrofit of Highwater’s Lamberton 50 million gals/year ethanol facility to isobutanol production using Butamax technology.
