Markets :: Alternative Fuels :: Bioethanol Second Bioethanol Unit Planned for Vietnam1:55 PM MDT | April 1, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Petrosetco (Ho Chi Minh City) has signed a preliminary agreement with Bronzeoak Ltd. (Caterham, U.K.) to form a 51-49 joint venture that would build a bioethanol plant in Vietnam’s Dung Quat Economic Zone. The plant would cost an estimated $138 million. It would have capacity for 150 million liters/year of ethanol and use tapioca as its main raw material. The unit would be Vietnam’s and Petrosetco’s second bioethanol plant.
