Pacific Ethanol signs supply agreement for industrial sugar

Pacific Ethanol, a producer of renewable fuels, has signed an agreement with Sweetwater Energy (Rochester, NY), a cellulosic sugar producer, for Sweetwater to supply industrial sugars for the production of cellulosic ethanol. A cellulosic biorefinery at the Pacific Ethanol Stockton, CA facility will be constructed to produce up to 3.6 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol annually.
