Novozymes Forms Sugar Pact in Brazil

Novozymes says it has signed an agreement with Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (CTC; Piracicaba, Brazil), the Brazilian sugar cane industry’s technical center, to develop bioethanol from bagasse, a residual product of sugar production. Novozymes and CTC will conduct development work in Brazil with contributions from Novozymes’ R&D centers in the U.S. and Denmark.
