Novozymes Bucks Trend by Predicting Growth in 2009

Novozymes, the enzymes technology firm, has bucked the chemical industry’s seemingly endless reports of plant shutdowns and sales drop offs, by announcing “strong” sales up 13% for 2008 and is forecasting sales growth of 8-13% for 2009. The company announced today that despite “uncertain markets” in the short term that favourable long term trends “will lead to new, increased long term targets.” The company recorded its strongest sales growth for 2008 in North America.
