Monsanto Invests in Algae

Monsanto says it will make an undisclosed equity investment in algae-based research firm Sapphire Energy (San Diego), and the two firms will jointly use Sapphire’s technology platform to discover genes in algae that could be used to improve yield and stress tolerance in agriculture crops....
