Parts of Poet-DSM cellulosic ethanol plant to be commissioned in January

Poet-DSM Advanced Biofuels' (Sioux Falls, SD) first commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol plant—at  Emmetsburg, IA—is on schedule for start-up in early 2014, the company has announced. Commissioning for select parts of the process is scheduled to begin in January 2014. The biomass-receiving and -grinding building is mechanically complete, and biomass-processing equipment is almost ready for commissioning.
