European Union sets 5-year antidumping tariff on US-origin bioethanol

The European Union has adopted a 5-year antidumping duty on US bioethanol that will result in a €62.30/m.t. ($83.20) net tariff applied to imports. Bioethanol used in applications other than fuel will be exempted, according to a provisional announcement from the European Commission dated 18 February. The decision will take effect the following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, which is expected 22 February.
