The fuel production is based on bio N-butanol provided by Cobalt Technologies (Mountainview, CA). Albemarle will use NAWCWD’s technologies to process Cobalt’s bio N-butanol into renewable jet fuel at its Baton Rouge, LA facility that will be tested by NAWCWD’s Aircraft Division as a process for military certification mandated through the Department of Defense (DOD).
