EU Commission investigates extending antidumping duties on US biodiesel for five years

The European Commission has begun investigating potentially renewing antidumping duties on biodiesel imports originating in the United States, according to the European Union's Official Journal. The investigation is in response to a request lodged by industry association European Biodiesel Board (EBB; Brussels) in April. EBB asked for the renewal of antidumping and countervailing duties imposed on US biodiesel in 2009. EBB says it has almost 80 members across 21 EU countries and represents 75% of Europe's biodiesel output. The investigation is expected to last...
