In this webcast we will explore how chemical companies can stay on top of the vast accumulations of data needed for compliance with the EU's Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH). We will discuss how IBM is solving REACH data management issues, explore some challenges, and discuss best practices that have been developed by IBM and other companies.

Key points will include:

  • IBM experience with managing REACH: As a downstream user IBM has to comply with REACH legislation. What is IBM's approach to achieving REACH compliance? What kind of issues is IBM's REACH management team dealing with on a daily basis? An overview of the IBM REACH program will be provided.
  • Cefic - SEIF portal for REACH - an overview of the solution and its importance for REACH management: Cefic (European Chemical Industry Council) and IBM have developed a state-of-the-art solution called "SIEFreach." SIEFreach facilitates and eases information exchange between companies with the goal of reducing the number of tests and submitting registration dossiers required by the REACH regulation.
