Wacker completes expansion of dispersions capacity in China

Wacker Chemie says it has completed the previously announced expansion of production capacity for vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer dispersions at its site at Nanjing, China. With the additional 60,000 m.t./year from a second reactor line, the total VAE dispersion capacity at the site has been doubled, to 120,000 m.t./year, and the plant complex is now among the largest of its kind in China, Wacker says. The company is also building a previously announced plant at Nanjing to produce polyvinyl acetate solid resins with a capacity of 20,000 m.t./year. It...
