Wacker Reports Higher Sales and Earnings; On Track to Reach Full-Year Targets

Wacker Chemie reported a 5% increase in Ebitda to €325 million ($468.5 million) in the second quarter of 2011 on sales 10% higher at €1.33 billion. Net income in the seond quarter reached €143 million, representing a 5.4% increase on the year-earlier quarter. Ebitda margin, however, slipped to 24.5%, compared with 25.7% in the second quarter of 2010.
