The transaction, announced in early June, has been cleared by the relevant antitrust authorities and approved by Wacker's and Fesil's supervisory boards. Through this acquisition Wacker partially backintegrates to silicon metal, one of the key raw materials the company uses in the production of silicones and hyperpure polysilicon.
