Versalis and Yulex plan guayule-based biorubber production in southern Europe

Versalis (Milan), a global leading producer of elastomers; and Yulex (Phoenix, AZ), an agricultural biomaterials company, announced today that they are forming a partnership to manufacture biorubber materials based on the renewable industrial crop guayule. The companies plan to build an industrial production complex in southern Europe.   The partnership will cover the entire production chain from crop science to biorubber extraction and will include the construction of a biomass power station.
