VCI Raises Full-Year Output Forecast for Germany's Chemical Industry; First-Quarter Results Reach 'Historic High' Levels

VCI (Frankfurt), the German chemical industry association, has raised its growth outlook for sales by Germany's chemical industry in 2011 following "unsusually strong" growth in early 2011. Plants were operating at full speed and, at times, reached full capacity utilization, resulting in the highest ever quarterly production and sales.
