Ube Upgrades Earnings and Sales Forecasts

Ube Industries has upgraded its sales and operating profits projections for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011. Ube expects to record operating profits of ¥43.5 billion ($537 million), having previously forecast operating profits of ¥36 billion, and forecasts full-year sales of ¥617 billion, having previously predicted sales of ¥613 billion.
