Ube Reports Rise in Earnings and Sales

Ube Industries reported net profits of ¥7.6 billion ($94 million) for the fiscal first half ended September 30, 2010, while it had broke even in the corresponding period of the previous year. Sales increased 15%, to ¥294.6 billion.
