World News and Views :: Top of the News UOP Technology Selected for Phenol Project in Korea1:41 AM MST | January 11, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been selected by Kumho P&B Chemicals (Seoul) to provide technology for a new phenol plant at Kumho P&B Chemicals’ site at Yeosu, Korea. UOP Q-Max and UOP Phenol process technologies will be integrated at the Yeosu facility to produce phenol. The new units, which are expected to start up between 2013 and 2014, will produce 900,000 m.t./year of cumene and 300,000 m.t./year of phenol.
