World News and Views :: Top of the News UOP Technology Selected for Isobutylene Project in China7:45 AM MDT | September 13, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says that Heilongjiang Anruijia Petrochemical has selected the UOP C4 Oleflex process to produce isobutylene, a key ingredient for fuels and synthetic rubber, at its facility in Heilongjiang Province, China. Heilongjiang Anruijia will also use the UOP Butamer process to produce normal butane, a feedstock used to produce ethylene. The new units, which are expected to become operational in 2014, will produce 180,000 m.t./year of isobutylene and 150,000 m.t./year of normal butane.
