UOP-Showa Denko JV to build high silica zeolite plant in Japan

Showa Denko says that its Union Showa (Tokyo) 50-50 joint venture with UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, has decided to produce high silica zeolite in Japan. A new production facility will be built at Showa Denko’s Higashinagahara manufacturing site at Aizu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Plant design has been completed, and the new facility is expected to start production in March 2014.
