U.S. Supreme Court to Consider Monsanto’s Alfalfa Appeal

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to rule on Monsanto’s lawsuit challenging the U.S. government’s injunction against planting of genetically modified alfalfa. The lawsuit challenged a legal decision that required that the U.S. Agriculture Department (USDA) rescind approval of the firm’s genetically modified (GM) alfalfa until regulators complete a more thorough environmental impact analysis.
