U.S. Lawmakers Take Up Chemicals Management Reform

Industry representatives at the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing today urged lawmakers to authorize a risk-based method for prioritizing chemicals as part of any statutory changes to the 1976 Toxics Substances Control Act (TSCA), although chemical manufacturers to do not have a uniform position on how TSCA should be reauthorized.
