U.S Lawmakers Pass Plant Security Bill

The U.S. House homeland security panel yesterday passed the Chemical Facility Antiterrorism Act of 2008, a bill that seeks to expand existing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plant security rules to require the consideration of inherently safer technologies (IST).
