Toyo awarded contract by Chandra Asri for cracker expansion

Toyo Engineering (Narashino, Japan) says it has been awarded a contract by Chandra Asri Petrochemical (Jakarta) for expanding the production capacity of its naphtha cracker at Cilegon, Indonesia. Chandra Asri says it will invest a total of $380 million for the Cilegon project, which will increase ethylene capacity from 600,000 m.t./year to 860,000 m.t./year; propylene capacity will increase from 320,000 m.t./year to 470,000 m.t./year. The capacity for pyrolysis gas (pygas) will increase by 120,000 m.t./year to 400,000 m.t./year, and the capacity for mixed C4...
