Tosoh hikes synthetic zeolite capacity, aims for top market share of high-silica zeolite

Tosoh says it will expand capacity for high-silica zeolite (HSZ), one of its synthetic zeolite lines, at the company’s Nanyo, Yamaguchi Prefecture complex in Japan. The project is designed to meet growing demand for auto emissions catalysts.   HSZ forms part of Tosoh’s advanced materials division. The company began producing HSZ at its Nanyo complex in 1986 and has since built a second facility at its Yokkaichi complex in March 2009 and expanded those facilities in March 2013.
