World News and Views :: Top of the News Tosoh Acquires Remaining Stake in Nippon Polyurethane3:25 AM MDT | August 2, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Tosoh says it has acquired the shares it does not own in Nippon Polyurethane Industry Co. (NPU; Tokyo), from Hodogaya Chemical (Tokyo), and that NPU is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Tosoh. NPU, which was established in 1960, produces and sells raw materials for polyurethane - methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) and toluene diisocyanate (TDI)-, and polyurethane derivatives. Tosoh acquired a stake in NPU in 2006 and increased its shareholding to 80.28% in 2008. Tosoh’s board of directors decided to acquire the remaining shares in NPU on July...
