World News and Views :: Top of the News Toray to acquire carbon fiber–reinforced plastic businesses in Japan, Thailand7:35 AM MDT | March 18, 2013 | Deepti Ramesh Toray Industries says that it has agreed to purchase in April all shares of Dome Carbon Magic (DCM; Maibara, Japan) from the Dome group, a racing-car designer and manufacturer, in order to expand its carbon fiber–composite materials business for automobile and other applications. Toray plans to rename the company as Toray Carbon Magic. DCM designs and manufactures carbon fiber–reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts and accessories, and employs about 65 people.
