World News and Views :: Top of the News Toray Revives Carbon Fiber Expansion Project1:11 AM MST | January 14, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Toray Industries says it has decided to resume the previously announced expansion of its carbon fiber production facility at the company’s site at Masaki, Ehime prefecture, Japan. The expansion through the construction of a new production line will add production capacity of 1,000 m.t./year for special small tow carbon fibers, and will involve an investment of about ¥16 billion ($194 million).
